A huge congratulations to our own Eagles who earned post-season honors from the North Atlantic Region of the NCBA earlier today. Junior OF Jeff Elliot and Sophomore P Nick Assad were selected First Team, while Sophomore OF Daniel Lu earned Second Team honors. The Eagles plan to use these returning studs to ignite the team on both sides of the ball next year as we begin another run at Paducah, Kentucky and the NCBA World Series. The Eagles capped off a great season with a 16-8 record overall. Unfortunately, we lost to #1 ranked Pitt 4-0 and #5 ranked Delaware 4-3 in close battles at Regional Tournament in State College, PA. We are looking forward to the fall season, and will hopefully be back to redeem ourselves at the Regional Tournament next year. Thank you to the seniors for all of their efforts, and for making this club what it is today.
The Eagles have received an At-Large bid to participate in the North Atlantic Regional Tournament, taking place in State College, PA. The Eagles will play #1 ranked Pittsburgh tonight at 7 PM.
The Eagles swept UCONN this weekend and are now 11-2 in conference play. We will wrapping up the regular season on May 8th when we take on UMASS. Our sights are set on winning the conference and advancing to regionals the following weekend.
