The Eagles won both games against UCONN Sunday in what turned out to be a crucial step in order to reach the playoffs.
Game one saw an offense breakout for the eagles, who came from behind to beat the Huskies 12-6. In Game two, the Eagles turned in another great offensive performance. Down 6-3, the Eagles wine on to score 12 runs to close out the game with a 15-6 victory, completing the sweep.
The two wins, along with the UCONN forfeit on Saturday put the Eagles back into position to capture the North Atlantic North Title. The Eagles must now play a double header against Northeastern. If the Eagles win both games, there will be a 3-way tie at the top of the division between BC, Northeastern, and SUNY Albany. In the event of a tie, the runs-against tie breaker favors the Eagles.
Games are currently scheduled for Sunday, May 3rd. More updates will follow.
